Jeff Meyer, Senior Coach/Consultant
Jeff Meyer heads up The Leadership Forum, an executive roundtable established for CEOs, presidents and business owners.
From 1980 to 1997, Meyer advanced in the retail industry as a senior management executive with Hallmark Cards in Kansas City and Chicago. His career includes positions in human resources, sales, service, marketing and strategic planning. He played a significant role in the Ambassador brand by building national service programs for retail giants in the mass-distribution channels. In 1992, he relocated to Kansas City as a director of national sales/service planning which included responsibility for the field execution of more than 20,000 retail accounts serviced by more than 12,000 employees. He became instrumental in creating sales, service, customer- and employee-incentive programs that revolutionized the retail industry, |
programs like Legendary Service. All of this was successful because of his ability to organize, select key staff, mentor up-and-coming executives, and plan and build organizational support systems to grow the company. He was with The Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas prior to Hallmark.
He has worked in 3 smaller business turnarounds (in California, Missouri and Kansas), for venture capital-backed industries in manufacturing, publishing and consumer products. As a mentor and leader of groups, he is persistent about and coaches life/work/family balance, mentoring executives in balancing family priorities with stressful work demands.
In 2010 & 2011, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Executive Service Corps of Greater Kansas City, a national affiliate. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association and a past Vice President of the Missouri/Kansas United States Air Force Academy Parents Club.
Meyer graduated from Quincy University in Illinois, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science/ minor in theology/philosophy. He has attended numerous university training programs. He is an author of several articles and is married with four children. He and his wife, Donna, live in Overland Park, Ks.
